Unlocking the Next Wave of Growth
Stockholm’s remarkable strengths include more unicorns per capita than New York or London, a dense founder network, and world-class universities. However, maintaining this momentum requires addressing three structural bottlenecks: slow and unclear visa processes, equity incentive rules that exclude the companies that need them most, and a shortage of local late-stage capital for deep tech and scale-ups.
In response, Stockholms Handelskammare launched a report, Unlocking the Next Wave of Growth, which examines key opportunities in talent attraction, founder policy, and the conditions for building and scaling companies in the Stockholm region.
